Metallic foils imitate the look of precious metals, such as gold, silver, or copper and are available in a multitude of color tints and finishes. These foils are a popular choice due to superior opacity and reflectivity.

 

Pigment foils instead of having a metallic appearance, these foils come in a range of matte or gloss colors. These are great for highlighting logos or text in striking color and texture. 

 

Pearl foils add a pearlescent, ethereal sheen to otherwise mostly transparent or translucent color. They are used to give more tactile shine rather than color to design and are an attractive subtle choice that goes well with cosmetics and beauty packaging 

 

Holographic foils are generally silver and diffract light across the color spectrum in varying patterns and movements of color, giving a three-dimensional, or holographic effect.   This effect is so engaging, that your packaging is begging to be picked up an examined.  Apart from the obvious decorative effect, when this foil is custom manufactured, the foil is also used as an anti-counterfeiting measure.
